CDX-1401 + poly-ICLC is a combination investigational cancer vaccine composed of CDX-1401, a recombinant fusion protein targeting the DEC-205 receptor to deliver the NY-ESO-1 cancer/testis antigen to dendritic cells, and poly-ICLC (Hiltonol), a synthetic double-stranded RNA that acts as a toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) agonist and immune adjuvant. CDX-1401 is designed to induce strong NY-ESO-1–specific cellular and humoral immune responses, while poly-ICLC boosts these immune responses by stimulating innate immunity and enhancing antigen presentation. The combination is intended for the immunotherapeutic treatment of cancers expressing NY-ESO-1, such as melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, myelodysplastic syndrome, and acute myeloid leukemia.
