Overview

CDX-1401 + resiquimod is a combination investigational immunotherapeutic approach for cancer. CDX-1401 is a fully human monoclonal antibody that targets the dendritic cell receptor DEC-205 and is genetically fused to the NY-ESO-1 tumor antigen, acting as a dendritic cell-targeted cancer vaccine to induce an immune response against tumors expressing NY-ESO-1[1][3]. Resiquimod is an imidazoquinoline TLR7/8 agonist used as an immune adjuvant to stimulate innate immune activation. The combination is designed to enhance antigen-specific T cell and humoral responses against cancer cells, leveraging both targeted antigen presentation (CDX-1401) and innate immune activation (resiquimod)[1][3][5]. This combination has been primarily evaluated in early-phase clinical trials for various advanced solid tumors, especially melanoma and other cancers expressing NY-ESO-1[1][3][5]. CDX-1401 is developed by Celldex Therapeutics, and resiquimod has previously been developed by 3M Pharmaceuticals.
