Overview

CDX-301 is a recombinant human Flt3 ligand (Flt3L) that stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, as well as dendritic cell subsets. Plerixafor (also known as AMD3100, brand name Mozobil) is a small molecule antagonist of the C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4), which blocks its interaction with stromal cell-derived factor 1-alpha (SDF-1α). The combination of CDX-301 and plerixafor has been shown to synergistically mobilize hematopoietic stem cells into peripheral blood, potentially improving yields for autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. This regimen may offer advantages over standard mobilization protocols by increasing the number of collected stem cells and reducing complications such as graft-versus-host disease[2][3][4][5].
