Overview

CE-245 and AF-047 are small molecule agonists of the Stimulator of Interferon Genes (STING) pathway, developed by JW C&C Research Lab, a subsidiary of JW Pharmaceutical. Discovered using the company's proprietary AI-driven drug discovery platform, CLOVER, these compounds are lead derivatives within the 'AP project' program. They are designed to selectively activate the STING protein (TMEM173), triggering the production of Type I interferons and pro-inflammatory cytokines that stimulate a robust innate and adaptive anti-tumor immune response. Unlike first-generation STING agonists that required intratumoral injection, JW C&C's derivatives are optimized for systemic (intravenous) administration to treat a variety of solid tumors. The program is currently in the IND-enabling preclinical stage, with preparations underway for regulatory filings.
