Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination antibiotic therapy consisting of cefazolin, a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic, and tinidazole, a nitroimidazole antiprotozoal agent. Cefazolin works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis and is primarily used for treating skin infections and other moderate to severe bacterial infections in various body sites. Tinidazole is effective against protozoan parasites and certain anaerobic bacteria. This combination may provide coverage against both aerobic bacteria and anaerobic microorganisms.
