Overview

This is a multi-drug combination therapy consisting of: - **Cefoperazone** (a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic) and **Sulbactam** (a beta-lactamase inhibitor), which together provide broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, especially against resistant Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria. Sulbactam protects cefoperazone from degradation by beta-lactamases, enhancing its efficacy. - **Ursodeoxycholic acid**, a bile acid used to improve bile flow and treat cholestatic liver diseases. - **Compound glycyrrhizin**, derived from licorice root, with anti-inflammatory and hepatoprotective properties. - **Methylprednisolone**, a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. - Fat-soluble vitamins (**A, D, E, K**) for nutritional support or correction of deficiencies; these are essential for vision, bone health, antioxidant protection, and coagulation respectively. - Two carbapenem antibiotics (**Imipenem** and **Meropenem**) that inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins; both are highly effective against multidrug-resistant organisms. This combination would be used in complex clinical scenarios such as severe infections (including those caused by multidrug-resistant organisms), often in patients with compromised liver function or requiring intensive supportive care. The inclusion of hepatoprotective agents (ursodeoxycholic acid/glycyrrhizin) alongside broad-spectrum antibiotics suggests use in patients at risk for hepatic injury or dysfunction. Methylprednisolone provides additional anti-inflammatory action.
