Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination antibiotic regimen consisting of ceftazidime (a third-generation cephalosporin), netilmicin (an aminoglycoside), and teicoplanin (a glycopeptide antibiotic). This combination provides broad-spectrum coverage against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria and is primarily used for empiric therapy in febrile neutropenic patients, particularly those who have undergone bone marrow transplantation. The regimen is especially valuable for patients not responding to initial beta-lactam and aminoglycoside therapy alone.
