Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Celecoxib + Jintiange is a combination product consisting of celecoxib, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and Jintiange, a traditional Chinese medicine preparation. Celecoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor that reduces pain and inflammation by blocking the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in these processes[6][7]. It is commonly used for conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute pain, and menstrual pain[6][7]. Jintiange refers to an artificial tiger bone powder or capsule formulation used in China as an alternative to natural tiger bone for the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. It contains calcium phosphate and collagen peptides derived from animal sources (such as bovine or porcine bones) and is believed to support bone health by supplementing minerals and proteins important for bone structure. The combination aims to provide both anti-inflammatory effects from celecoxib and potential bone-strengthening benefits from Jintiange.
