Celecoxib + sertraline is a combination of two pharmaceutical drugs, each with distinct mechanisms of action and therapeutic indications. Celecoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor classified as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), primarily used to relieve pain and inflammation in conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, dysmenorrhea, and acute pain. Sertraline is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant indicated for depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and certain anxiety disorders. It acts by selectively inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin at presynaptic neuronal membranes in the central nervous system, increasing serotonergic neurotransmission[4][7]. The combination does not have an established fixed-dose product or unique brand name; it refers to concurrent use of both agents.
