Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ceremax Plus is an oral fixed-dose combination therapy developed by Solis Pharms, containing 90 mg of cerebroprotein hydrolysate and 5 mg of vinpocetine. Cerebroprotein hydrolysate is a neurotrophic peptidergic mixture derived from porcine brain tissue that mimics the action of endogenous growth factors, promoting neuronal survival, repair, and plasticity. Vinpocetine is a synthetic derivative of the alkaloid vincamine that acts as a cerebral vasodilator and neuroprotective agent by inhibiting phosphodiesterase type 1 (PDE1) and voltage-gated sodium channels. This combination is primarily indicated for the treatment of cognitive impairment, stroke recovery, and neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or vascular dementia, aiming to provide synergistic neuroprotective and cognitive-enhancing effects by improving cerebral blood flow and providing metabolic support to neurons.
