Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cetaphil Skin Activator Hydrating & Firming Cream is a topical cosmeceutical product developed by Galderma for the treatment of mature, aging skin. It specifically targets crepey skin, photoaged skin, and dermatoporosis. The formulation utilizes proprietary Skin Activator technology, which combines encapsulated Centella Asiatica (CICA) to help restore the skin's moisture barrier and microdosed mandelic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), to increase surface skin cell turnover. This combination works to improve skin firmness and reduce the visible signs of thinning and fragile skin. The product line was co-developed with dermatologists and underwent Phase 4 clinical evaluation to confirm its efficacy and tolerability in adults with mature skin conditions.
