Overview
CG428 is an investigational topical botanical lotion developed by Legacy Healthcare for prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced alopecia, including persistent or permanent chemotherapy-induced alopecia in cancer survivors. The scalp-applied product contains Cellium, a proprietary four-botanical blend comprising *Allium cepa* L., *Citrus limon* L., *Theobroma cacao* L., and *Paullinia cupana*. Its proposed local activity is to restore hair-cycle homeostasis disrupted by chemotherapy by modulating excessive apoptosis in hair-follicle cells and reducing scalp micro-inflammation, thereby supporting hair regrowth and improvements in hair density and thickness. CG428 has been evaluated in randomized placebo-controlled Phase II studies, including the VOLUME study in breast-cancer survivors with persistent chemotherapy-induced hair disorders and the ELAN study for chemotherapy-induced alopecia prevention.
