Overview

CGC-11047 + gemcitabine is an investigational combination therapy for cancer. CGC-11047 is a second-generation polyamine analog of N1,N12-bisethylspermine, designed to inhibit cell proliferation and induce apoptosis in cancer cells by disrupting polyamine metabolism. It has demonstrated antitumor activity in preclinical models of lung, prostate, breast, and pancreatic cancers[6][7][8]. Gemcitabine is a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor (antimetabolite) that slows or stops the growth of cancer cells by interfering with DNA synthesis[1][4]. The combination has been studied in early-phase clinical trials to determine safety and maximum tolerated dose for various solid tumors[2][5].
