Overview

ChAdOx2 HAV + MVA HAV is a heterologous prime-boost vaccine combination targeting Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP), which is hypothesized to be associated with Crohn's disease. The antigen for both vectored vaccines consists of a 95kDa fusion construct from four MAP genes (1589c/AhpC, MAP 1234/Gsd, 2444c/p12, and 1235/mpa). ChAdOx2 HAV is a replication-deficient simian adenovirus vector used as the prime, while MVA HAV is a highly attenuated poxvirus vector used as the boost. The vaccine combination aims to induce a T cell-mediated immune response against MAP in patients with Crohn's disease.
