Chaihu Sugan San + Zuogui Yin is a combination of two traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulas used to treat perimenopausal syndrome, specifically the liver depression and kidney deficiency pattern. Chaihu Sugan San is traditionally used to soothe the liver, regulate qi, and relieve pain, while Zuogui Yin is designed to nourish kidney yin and replenish essence. The combination aims to address the hormonal and psychological symptoms of menopause by balancing the neuroendocrine system and improving emotional well-being. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials by The First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University.
