Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chang'e Jiali Wan is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) proprietary formulation primarily used in the field of gynecology and reproductive medicine. It is composed of multiple herbal ingredients, typically including *Cistanche deserticola*, *Epimedium*, *Angelica sinensis*, and *Rehmannia glutinosa*, which are traditionally used to 'tonify the kidney' and 'nourish the blood.' In clinical practice, it is employed to treat conditions such as ovarian endometriosis (specifically ovarian chocolate cysts), premature ovarian failure, and female infertility. The drug is thought to work by regulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis, improving ovarian reserve, and modulating the pelvic inflammatory environment to enhance fertility outcomes. It is currently being evaluated in randomized clinical trials, such as those led by the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, to assess its efficacy in improving biochemical and clinical pregnancy rates in women with ovarian endometriosis.
