Overview
Eisbach Bio is developing a preclinical small-molecule allosteric inhibitor of Chromodomain Helicase DNA-binding Protein 1 (CHD1) for the treatment of PTEN-deficient tumors, including metastatic prostate cancer. CHD1 is a chromatin-remodeling helicase that plays a critical role in DNA repair and genome organization. In PTEN-deficient cancers, CHD1 becomes a synthetic lethal vulnerability; its inhibition leads to selective tumor cell death while sparing healthy cells. Developed using the proprietary ALLOS platform, this program aims to provide a targeted therapy for genetically defined advanced solid tumors by exploiting the molecular machinery responsible for genome reorganization in cancer cells.
