Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chicken Anemia Virus Vaccine (MEVAC) is a veterinary vaccine developed by Middle East for Vaccines (MEVAC) for the immunization of poultry against Chicken Anemia Virus (CAV). CAV is a highly contagious viral pathogen in chickens that causes infectious anemia, lymphoid atrophy, and severe immunosuppression, particularly in young birds. The vaccine is typically administered to breeder flocks to induce high levels of maternal antibodies, which are then transferred to the progeny to provide protection during their most vulnerable early weeks of life. MEVAC's poultry portfolio includes this vaccine as part of its specialized range for avian health management.
