Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chidamide + cisplatin is a combination therapy consisting of chidamide, a novel histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor that selectively inhibits HDAC1, 2, 3, and 10, and cisplatin, a platinum-based chemotherapy drug. Chidamide belongs to the benzamide chemical class of HDAC inhibitors. Preclinical studies showed that chidamide could enhance platinum-induced cytotoxicity at non-toxic doses. This combination was investigated for its potential synergistic effects in cancer treatment, particularly for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
