Overview

This autologous CD30-targeted chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy is an investigational biologic developed by Shanxi Bethune Hospital for the treatment of relapsed or refractory CD30-positive lymphomas. The therapy involves the genetic modification of a patient's own T cells to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) specific for CD30 (TNFRSF8), a cell surface marker frequently expressed on Hodgkin Reed-Sternberg cells and anaplastic large cell lymphoma cells. Upon re-infusion, these engineered T cells recognize and bind to CD30-positive tumor cells, leading to T-cell activation and targeted cytotoxicity. The therapy is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 dose-climbing clinical trial (NCT04653649) to assess its safety and efficacy in patients with limited treatment options.
