Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vita-Hexin is a topical wound healing and antiseptic ointment developed by Streuli Pharma. It is formulated as a fixed-dose combination of chlorhexidine digluconate, retinol palmitate (Vitamin A), cod liver oil, and zinc oxide. The ointment is indicated for the treatment and accelerated healing of minor wounds, abrasions, cuts, scratches, mild burns, and skin tears, as well as for bedsores and leg ulcers under medical supervision. Chlorhexidine digluconate provides broad-spectrum antiseptic activity by disrupting microbial cell membranes, while zinc oxide, retinol palmitate, and cod liver oil synergistically promote tissue regeneration, re-epithelialization, and wound healing. It is available in both human and veterinary formulations.
