ENCIDEX is an oral hygiene mouthwash developed and marketed by LAINCO. It is formulated as a combination of chlorhexidine digluconate (0.12%) and sodium fluoride (0.05%). It is indicated as an adjuvant in the treatment of periodontal diseases, such as gingivitis and periodontitis, and helps to reduce irritation, inflammation, and bleeding of the gums. Chlorhexidine digluconate acts as a broad-spectrum antiseptic and antimicrobial agent that disrupts bacterial cell walls and membranes, preventing plaque formation.
