Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Choline + diazepam is a combination product marketed under the brand name Gabavale-5. This is a kit formulation containing diazepam (a benzodiazepine) at 5 mg and choline at 125 mg, administered orally. Diazepam is a long-acting benzodiazepine that works by enhancing the effect of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. It provides anxiolytic, sedative, muscle-relaxant, anticonvulsant, and amnestic effects[2][3]. Choline is included as a supplement component. This product was manufactured by Physician Therapeutics LLC and marketed as an unapproved drug combination[5]. The product appears to have been discontinued as the NDC codes are listed as inactivated.
