Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination product containing ranitidine hydrochloride (150 mg) and choline. Ranitidine is a histamine H2-receptor antagonist that decreases gastric acid secretion, while choline is included as a dietary supplement component. The product was marketed as a medical food kit for the dietary management of sleep disorders, combining the ranitidine tablet with Sentra PM capsules. This was an unapproved drug product that was marketed by Physician Therapeutics LLC. Ranitidine products were withdrawn from the market in 2020 due to concerns about NDMA (N-nitrosodimethylamine) contamination, a probable carcinogen.
