choriogonadotropin beta + follitropin delta is a combination of two recombinant gonadotropins used in controlled ovarian stimulation protocols. **Choriogonadotropin beta** (CG beta) is a novel recombinant human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) produced in a human cell line (PER.C6®) and characterized by a unique glycosylation pattern, differing from urinary hCG or CHO cell-derived recombinant hCG. **Follitropin delta** is a recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone (rFSH) used for individualized ovarian stimulation based on patient factors. The combination aims to provide both FSH and LH activity, mimicking the physiological actions in ovarian stimulation, with follitropin delta promoting follicular development, and CG beta providing LH-like activity for follicle maturation. In clinical trials (RAINBOW study), the combination was investigated for increasing the number of good-quality blastocysts in women undergoing a long GnRH agonist protocol for IVF. However, addition of CG beta at investigated doses **reduced the number of intermediate follicles and negatively affected downstream parameters** such as oocyte and blastocyst yield, suggesting a need for further dose optimization[1][2][3].
