Overview

Choriomon + Endometrin is a combination of two separate medications used in fertility treatments. Endometrin is a vaginal insert containing 100 mg of progesterone. It is used during assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatments to support embryo implantation and early pregnancy by supplementing corpus luteal function in women with infertility. The typical dosage of Endometrin is one 100 mg insert placed into the vagina 2-3 times daily, starting after egg retrieval and continuing for up to 10 weeks. Endometrin works by providing the progesterone needed to support pregnancy, increasing the likelihood of implantation and decreasing the risk of miscarriage. Common side effects of Endometrin include headache, breast tenderness, bloating, mood swings, irritability, fatigue, abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, and uterine spasms. Endometrin should not be used by individuals with previous allergic reactions to progesterone, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, known missed abortion or ectopic pregnancy, liver disease, known or suspected breast or genital cancer, active blood clots or severe thrombophlebitis. Drug interactions may occur with medications that induce the hepatic cytochrome-P450-3A4 system, such as rifampin and carbamazepine. Endometrin is not recommended for use with other vaginal products. Choriomon is likely human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), also used in fertility treatments (e.g., to trigger ovulation or support the corpus luteum). However, specific details about Choriomon or how these medications are used together as a specific treatment regimen were not provided in the search results.
