Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ChymoBest-D is an oral fixed-dose combination tablet containing the proteolytic enzymes trypsin and chymotrypsin alongside the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) diclofenac potassium. Developed by Zinnia Life Sciences, this formulation is designed to provide synergistic anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-edematous effects. Diclofenac potassium acts as a fast-acting NSAID that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes to reduce prostaglandin synthesis, thereby alleviating pain and inflammation. Trypsin and chymotrypsin are proteolytic enzymes that facilitate tissue repair, break down inflammatory debris, and reduce localized edema and swelling. ChymoBest-D is primarily indicated for the management of pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, joint diseases (such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), post-traumatic injuries, and post-operative recovery.
