Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cicaplast Baume B5+ is a multi-purpose dermatological balm developed by La Roche-Posay (a division of L'Oréal) designed to soothe and repair irritated or compromised skin. The formulation features 5% Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5) to support skin barrier function, Madecassoside (a Centella Asiatica extract) for anti-inflammatory and healing properties, and a mineral complex of Copper, Zinc, and Manganese to reduce bacterial adhesion. A key differentiator of the 'B5+' version is the inclusion of Tribioma, a proprietary prebiotic complex intended to rebalance the skin microbiome. It is indicated for a wide range of conditions including post-procedural recovery (laser, peeling), xerosis, diaper rash, and skin discomfort associated with oncology treatments.
