Cisplatin + celecoxib + DC vaccine is an investigational chemo-immunotherapy combination developed by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for the treatment of advanced-stage ovarian cancer. The regimen consists of intraperitoneal cisplatin, a platinum-based DNA alkylating agent; oral celecoxib, a selective COX-2 inhibitor intended to modulate the tumor immune microenvironment; and an autologous alpha-type-1 polarized dendritic cell (alpha-DC1) vaccine. The vaccine is produced from patient-derived monocytes, pulsed with tumor lysate and keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH), and matured to induce a tumor-specific T-cell response. This combination is typically evaluated in a neoadjuvant setting alongside intravenous paclitaxel and may be further combined with chemokine modulatory agents like rintatolimod and interferon-alpha to enhance immune cell infiltration into the tumor.
