Overview

The combination of cisplatin, epirubicin, and cyclophosphamide (PEC) is a chemotherapy regimen used primarily in the treatment of advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer and advanced epithelial ovarian cancer. The typical dosing schedule for endometrial cancer is cisplatin 50 mg/m², epirubicin 60 mg/m², and cyclophosphamide 600 mg/m² every 4 weeks; for ovarian cancer it may be given as cisplatin 60 mg/m², epirubicin 60 mg/m², and cyclophosphamide 750 mg/m² on day 1 every 21 days. The regimen has demonstrated activity in these cancers with manageable toxicity profiles. Hematologic toxicity is common but generally manageable; significant nonhematologic toxicities are rare except for nausea and vomiting.
