Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A chemotherapy combination regimen consisting of cisplatin, etoposide, and paclitaxel. This three-drug combination has been studied primarily for the treatment of small cell lung cancer (SCLC), in both extensive-stage and limited-stage disease. The regimen has demonstrated high response rates (up to 90% in some studies) with manageable toxicity profiles. When combined with concurrent thoracic radiotherapy, it has shown promising survival outcomes in limited-stage SCLC.
