cisplatin + gemcitabine + pemetrexed

This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of three anticancer drugs: cisplatin (a platinum-based agent), gemcitabine (a nucleoside analog), and pemetrexed (an antifolate antineoplastic agent). While cisplatin + gemcitabine and cisplatin + pemetrexed are well-established combinations for treating non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), the triple combination is less commonly documented. Each component has a distinct mechanism of action: cisplatin forms DNA crosslinks disrupting cancer cell division, gemcitabine inhibits DNA synthesis, and pemetrexed blocks folate-dependent enzymes necessary for cell replication.
