Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A chemotherapy combination regimen consisting of cisplatin, ifosfamide, and vinblastine. This combination is primarily used as salvage therapy for patients with recurrent germ cell tumors who have failed first-line treatment with cisplatin-etoposide-based regimens. It has also shown effectiveness in treating bulky seminoma. The typical dosing schedule involves vinblastine (0.11 mg/kg/d on days 1 and 2), ifosfamide (1.2-1.5 g/m²/d on days 1 through 5), and cisplatin (20 mg/m²/d on days 1 through 5), with courses repeated every 21 days. The main toxicity associated with this regimen is myelosuppression.
