cisplatin + pemetrexed + yangzheng xiaoji

This is a combination regimen consisting of two established chemotherapy agents, cisplatin and pemetrexed, together with yangzheng xiaoji, a traditional Chinese medicine formulation. Cisplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic that forms DNA crosslinks and induces apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. Pemetrexed is an antifolate antineoplastic agent that inhibits multiple folate-dependent enzymes involved in nucleotide synthesis, thereby blocking DNA replication and cell division. The combination of cisplatin and pemetrexed is approved for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and malignant pleural mesothelioma[1][2][3][4]. Yangzheng xiaoji is used in traditional Chinese medicine as an adjunct therapy for cancer; it contains various herbal ingredients purported to have anti-tumor effects through immunomodulation, inhibition of angiogenesis, or other mechanisms.
