This investigational combination therapy, developed by Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, integrates autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) with standard-of-care cisplatin-based concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) for patients with locally advanced cervical carcinoma (FIGO stage IIIA-IVA). The treatment protocol involves isolating T cells from the patient's own tumor tissue, expanding them ex vivo using interleukin-2 and anti-CD3 antibodies under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions, and re-infusing them following the completion of chemoradiotherapy. This approach aims to leverage the debulking and sensitizing effects of CCRT alongside the targeted, long-term anti-tumor immunity provided by TILs to improve outcomes and prevent recurrence in high-risk cervical cancer patients.
