Cisplatin + temozolomide is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of two small molecule alkylating agents. Cisplatin is a platinum-based compound that forms DNA crosslinks, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. Temozolomide is an imidazotetrazine derivative that methylates DNA at the O6 and N7 positions of guanine, resulting in cytotoxicity and cell death.
