Citicoline sodium + glucose (also known as Sodium Citicoline and Glucose Injection) is an approved small-molecule injectable drug developed by Anqing Echo Biopharmaceutical. It is a combination of citicoline sodium, a neuroprotective agent that serves as an intermediate in the biosynthesis of cell membrane phospholipids, and glucose, which serves as an isotonic agent. The drug is primarily indicated for the treatment of acute craniocerebral trauma and consciousness disorders following brain surgery. By increasing the synthesis of phosphatidylcholine and improving cerebral blood flow, it promotes the recovery of brain function and stabilizes neuronal membranes. It is currently approved and marketed in China.
