Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Citrus bioflavonoids + vitamin E is a **combination dietary supplement** consisting of plant-derived polyphenolic compounds known as citrus bioflavonoids (commonly including hesperidin, naringenin, rutin, and others) together with vitamin E (a fat-soluble vitamin, primarily tocopherols and tocotrienols, with well-characterized antioxidant properties). Citrus bioflavonoids are notable for their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, capillary-strengthening, and potential neuroprotective and cardioprotective properties, and are proposed for use in supporting vascular health, chronic venous insufficiency, hemorrhoids, easy bruising, hypertension, and other inflammatory or oxidative-stress–related conditions[1][3][4][5]. Vitamin E acts mainly as a lipid-soluble antioxidant, protecting cell membranes from oxidative damage and playing a role in immune function and skin health. The combination may be intended to synergistically enhance antioxidant protection, especially for vascular and connective tissue health, but robust clinical trial evidence for specific combined benefits is limited.
