Overview

CKD-581 + bortezomib + dexamethasone is an investigational combination regimen being studied primarily in the treatment of previously treated multiple myeloma. CKD-581 is a novel pan-histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor, while bortezomib is a proteasome inhibitor, and dexamethasone is a synthetic glucocorticoid. In preclinical studies, CKD-581 enhances the apoptotic and anti-myeloma effects of bortezomib, showing synergistic activity against myeloma cells, including in the presence of bone marrow stromal cells. This triple regimen aims to induce apoptosis and inhibit proliferation in malignant plasma cells and is currently undergoing dose-finding and safety evaluation in clinical trials[1][3][5].
