Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ClōSYS Sensitive Fluoride Toothpaste and ClōSYS Sensitive Rinse are topical oral care products developed by Rowpar Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis. The regimen utilizes stabilized chlorine dioxide (marketed under the proprietary name Cloralstan) as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent that eliminates plaque-causing bacteria through oxidation. The toothpaste component also contains 0.24% sodium fluoride to provide anticavity protection and strengthen tooth enamel. These products are formulated to be pH-balanced, sulfate-free, and non-irritating, specifically targeting patients with sensitive mouths. The mechanism of action involves the naturally activated oxidizing properties of stabilized chlorine dioxide to disrupt oral biofilms and neutralize volatile sulfur compounds.
