Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CL184 + human diploid cell vaccine is a combination therapy investigated for use in rabies post-exposure prophylaxis. CL184 is a cocktail of human monoclonal antibodies targeting the rabies virus, while the human diploid cell vaccine (HDCV) is a well-established inactivated rabies vaccine produced in human diploid cells. HDCV stimulates active immunity by inducing rabies virus-neutralizing antibodies, whereas CL184 provides immediate passive immunity by directly neutralizing the rabies virus. This combination is intended to mimic or replace the current standard of rabies immune globulin (HRIG) plus vaccine by pairing a monoclonal antibody product with traditional vaccination[1].
