Claudin 6 + mucin 1 + mesothelin CAR T cells is an experimental autologous chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University. This multi-targeted cell therapy is designed to treat advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by simultaneously targeting three tumor-associated antigens: Claudin 6 (CLDN6), Mucin 1 (MUC1), and Mesothelin (MSLN). These antigens are frequently overexpressed in NSCLC tissues but have limited expression in normal tissues, making them suitable targets for immunotherapy. The use of a multi-antigen targeting strategy is intended to address the challenge of tumor heterogeneity and prevent immune escape, which are common hurdles in the treatment of solid tumors with single-target CAR-T cells. The therapy is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced NSCLC who have progressed after standard therapies.
