Clenbuterol + montelukast is a combination of two small molecule drugs used primarily in the management of respiratory conditions such as cough variant asthma (CVA). Clenbuterol is a beta2-adrenergic agonist that acts as a bronchodilator, relaxing airway smooth muscle and improving airflow. Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks cysteinyl leukotriene receptors, reducing inflammation and bronchoconstriction associated with asthma. Clinical studies have shown that the combination can significantly decrease cough scores and improve peak expiratory flow rates in patients with CVA, with superior efficacy compared to monotherapy with either agent alone[1][2].
