Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ClinSup-V3 is a combination medication containing Clindamycin (100mg) and Clotrimazole (200mg) formulated as vaginal suppositories. It is primarily used to treat vaginal infections including bacterial vaginosis (BV), candidiasis, and trichomoniasis. Clindamycin is an antibiotic that works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, which stops bacterial reproduction and growth. Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal medication that damages fungal cell membranes, causing leakage and preventing fungal growth. Together, these active ingredients effectively treat vaginal infections caused by bacteria, yeast, and parasites, helping to alleviate symptoms such as white discharge, itchiness, and inflammation in the genital area.
