clindamycin + hydrocortisone

Clindamycin + hydrocortisone is a topical combination drug containing clindamycin, a lincosamide antibiotic, and hydrocortisone, a glucocorticoid corticosteroid. Clindamycin acts by binding to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes, inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis and providing antibacterial activity. Hydrocortisone exerts anti-inflammatory effects by acting as an agonist at the glucocorticoid receptor, reducing inflammation in the skin.
