Overview

CLL1 CAR-T + CD33 CAR-T is an investigational dual-targeting chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML). This cell-based immunotherapy involves engineering patient-derived T cells to express chimeric antigen receptors directed against two distinct AML-associated surface antigens: CLL1 (C-type lectin-like molecule-1, also known as CLEC12A), which is expressed on leukemic stem cells, and CD33, which is broadly expressed on AML blast cells. By simultaneously targeting both antigens, the therapy aims to eliminate bulk AML disease and eradicate leukemic stem cells while reducing the risk of antigen-escape relapse that can occur with single-target CAR-T approaches. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials sponsored by The General Hospital of Western Theater Command in China.
