Chang Lekang is a probiotic combination therapy consisting of the bacterial strains *Clostridium butyricum* and *Bifidobacterium infantis*. Developed by Kexing Biopharm, it is approved in China for the treatment of various gastrointestinal disorders, including diarrhea, dyspepsia, and enteritis, as well as for the restoration of intestinal flora balance. *Clostridium butyricum* is a gram-positive anaerobe that produces butyric acid, which promotes the repair of the intestinal mucosa and inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria like *Vibrio cholerae* and *Shigella*. *Bifidobacterium infantis* is a beneficial bacterium that colonizes the gut, produces organic acids to lower intestinal pH, and competes with pathogens for nutrients and adhesion sites. The product is available in capsule and granule formulations and is regulated as a pharmaceutical biologic in the Chinese market.
