Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Coblopasvir + sofosbuvir is an oral, fixed-dose combination of two direct-acting antiviral agents for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. **Coblopasvir** is an NS5A inhibitor, and **sofosbuvir** is a nucleotide analog NS5B polymerase inhibitor; both target essential steps in the HCV replication cycle. This combination is used to achieve sustained virologic response (SVR), considered a cure for HCV. Coblopasvir + sofosbuvir is developed for broad HCV genotype coverage, and has been evaluated in phase 3 trials, particularly for genotypes prevalent in Asia-Pacific regions.
