Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Coenzyme q10 + lisinopril is a combination of two agents with distinct mechanisms of action. Coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) is a naturally occurring antioxidant and essential component in mitochondrial electron transport, supporting cellular energy production and protecting cells from oxidative damage. It has been studied for its potential cardioprotective effects, particularly in the context of reducing cell damage after surgery or chemotherapy and possibly supporting heart health[4][2]. Lisinopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used primarily to treat hypertension, heart failure, and certain kidney conditions by inhibiting the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure[5][10]. The combination may be considered for additive cardiovascular protection or blood pressure management; however, evidence for combined use is limited mainly to preclinical studies or theoretical benefit[2]. Both agents are available individually; there are no widely recognized fixed-dose combination products containing both.
