Copper Cu 64 PSMA I&T is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic agent composed of a prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeting ligand (PSMA-I&T) linked to the chelator DOTAGA and labeled with the positron-emitting radioisotope copper-64. It is administered intravenously and used for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging to detect and localize metastatic or recurrent prostate cancer by targeting cells expressing PSMA, which is highly expressed in most prostate cancers. The agent enables high-sensitivity imaging due to the properties of copper-64, including its relatively long half-life, allowing centralized manufacturing and broad distribution. The drug is being developed primarily for use in PET/CT imaging for staging and detection of metastatic or recurrent prostate cancer[1][2][3][4][5].
